Friggin' Sorry!

Sorry it's been a month!

We have been really busy as of late with school starting back (Me & Deck), as well as work for Court! Tay is doing great, getting bigger and more beautiful everyday! I never knew how awesome having a little girl could be! I completely adore her! Deck is doing great in school and likes kindergarten. He did great on his progress report! I love my students this year, they are great, a lot cooler than last year, and for some reason they think I am cool too! Football is going good! We are better than last year, and are 1-1 at the moment, but look to do really well in our district! Go Flashes! I also got to go to Biloxi last weekend for a guys weekend with two of my buds, my cool-ass Dad, and some of our family friends! It was friggin' great! Food, a lot of drinks, and a little gambling equaled a fun weekend! (Thanks to Barb for coming into town for the weekend to stay with Court and the kids while I was gone!! You Rock!!). Court is getting back into the groove of being a part-time nurse and full-time Mom! She is the best chick ever! I love her so much! So good at everything she does, whether being a nurse, mom, friend, or wife!!! Mom (and occasionally Daddy-o!) are helping us out with Taylor on the Thursdays that Court works and I am at practice. She watches her and picks Deck up from school until I get home. We couldn't do it without her! She is the best and we love her so much! We really appreciate it! I promise I will post pictures this weekend (in between surf sessions on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning) since our team has a bye-week! That's it! We posted new pics on our Flickr account so check those out. Other than that, I am finishing my rum drink and going to bed! Aloha means goodbye :-)

Fay!

Since Fay rolled into town, we have all been enjoying time off from school, and in Court's case a day off from the hospital. Its been raining for about 24 hours straight and the backyard is holding more water than I have ever seen. Me and Tay got up yesterday (Thursday) to check out the news with mom, while Declan played with Lego's and watched movies all day long. Once the kid's were in bed, thanks to being inebriated from Captain Morgan, Court caught some photos of me out in the storm around midnight in my boxers. Good Times! We like being a random-ass couple who finds pleasure in spontaneous situations...haha!

Taylor & Bob!

While Mom was at work I had the chance to dress Taylor up in her Bob Marley onesie I bought her for her a while ago in Orlando. I thought it was cool, and I took advantage while Mom was away! Jah Rastafari!

School Starts Back....

We finally started school last week in Hilliard. So I get the extreme joy of dealing with 100 new 9th grade faces in my business classes. Declan also started his first day of kindergarten at Southside Elementary in Fernandina. He only went for a half day, and was supposed to have his first whole day on Friday, but thanks to Fay it has been pushed back. Court started back at the hospital on Sundays and Thursdays, so her and Taylor get to hang out on the days when Declan and I are gone! Other than that, we are just trying to get back in the groove of things!

Trip to the Farmer's Market!

Every Saturday on Centre Street in Fernandina, they have a farmer's market on one of the side streets. We have passed it before, and talked about going, but this morning we finally did. After getting $40 out of the ATM, we came back with all kinds of stuff and no cash in my wallet! The produce was cheap, but we splurged on two different kinds of jelly, avocados, a loaf of organic wheat bread, and some peanut brittle for Court. All in all it was a cool experience and we look to make it something we do every Saturday morning. Declan had fun and Taylor was great crusing in her stroller! We then went to The Sweet Tomato Cafe and had lunch, which is great for lunch if you ever get the chance to go to it. It's on 3rd Street across from The Green Turtle Tavern, our favorite bar :-)!

Taylor's Earache!

We took Taylor to the doctor on Friday because she was acting a little out of sorts the past two days. Since I have a kick ass wife/nurse, she thought it was an earache! After going to the pediatrician, we found out she was exactly right. So after dinner at Mimi & Daddy-O's, we brought her home and got her ready for bed. After bath though, Court made her laugh and smile by singing and talking to her! I had to take pictures of the fun she was having! She gets to where she laughs a little more everyday. It is great to see her little personality develop!

New Living Room!

We finally got the last few pieces to our new living room. So after a month and a half of painting most of our walls, we were able to see how they matched up to the ottoman and pillows we picked up today! We like it! It's a funky, kinda retro-70's look, to me anyways, but what the hell do I know about interior design!

Taylor and Her 1st Experience with Cereal!

Against my will, Court decided to give Taylor some cereal tonight for the first time with a spoon. It devastated me to think that my little girl is growing up! So I gave in and took some pictures of the event. She ended up doing really good. She has been growing so much lately! She gets more beautiful each day!

I've Been Slacking!

Ok, so I enjoyed my summer off and put the blogspot on the backburner. July was a blast! We spent the 4th at Mimi and Daddy-O's, then two weeks in St. Augustine with my family. We roomed with Kerri and Jeremy, and their one year old boy Brock. Declan got to hang with his nephews, while Taylor got her first couple of trips to the beach! She did good, staying out for an hour one two different occasions. We had a really good time and are in shock that the summer is almost over! It's back to school, and the hospital for Court. We are both trying to figure out how we are going to do after being with both kids all summer!

Dec's Baseball Video Clips

I'm going to attempt to post some video on the blog so everyone can see a clip of two of Declan playing. He couldn't stop giggling watching himself on the computer while I played the clips for him.

Thanks Alice!

Court and I would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge her Mom coming to town and helping us during the labor process and thereafter. If we needed clothes washed, dinner made, Declan taken to school, or morale support, Barb was there to help us out. She also hooked me up with breakfast, coffee, and a hug each morning! I offered to pay her to stay on and live upstairs as a live in maid, hence the "Alice" connection. Thanks again, Court and I couldn't have done it without you!

P.S. Dan C., Thanks for the OddWalla Bars and Coffee!!! You Rock Bro! Glad to hear you are diggin' the Donny and Ben Harper CD's! We knew you'd like 'em!

Pool Time!

It seems like every afternoon so far this summer we all feel a little cramped in the house, including the kids. So to cure the problem we find ourselves at Mimi & Daddy-O's on a daily basis! They are both gracious hosts, especially Daddy-O :-)! Declan get to swim with his boys Jacob, Regan, Walker & Brady, Court gets room to breathe, and Mimi gets to spend time with her new favorite Granddaughter. I usually play Wii and mooch off my parents drinks and food! Daddy-O shows up when he isn't dealing with yard personnel and house re-modelers! His appearance is always short but sweet! It's great having a pool, lake, and game room that we can use for our benefit at any time! Thanks Mom and Dad! We Love Ya'll!

Declan's 1st Week of Games

Declan played two games this week on Monday night and Tuesday at the Babe Ruth Fields in Fernandina. What they do somewhat resembles baseball, but it is fun to see the kids run around and hit the ball. It is somewhat comedic at times. Declan did great! They have him at shortstop and he cranks the ball when the coach puts it where he can hit it. He has had a crowd at his games: The regulars of Mom, Dad, & Taylor, also stopping by were Aunt Dude, Payton, & Uncle BoBo, Mimi & Daddy-O, and Uncle Stevie. We are really proud of him! Taylor did good at the games and is getting much bigger. She fell asleep during one, the excitement was just too much for her :-)

Finally Back in Action!

After a horrible month-long catastrophe that saw both of our computers die, we are finally up and running again in the Wright household. From a reliable source (Thanks Aunt Dude) I heard of numerous complaints coming from country-bumpkins in Troy, Missouri. They have way too much time on their hands up there :-) For God Sake's, take a drive to Malta Bend for the weekend! Kidding Purd, I love you man! I promise to do my best to update the sight more, starting tonight! Thanks for the patience!

Computer Trouble

We are trying to keep up to date with this thing the best we can, but we hit a snag last week when our desktop computer's hard drive crashed. So we are currently in the process of getting that fixed. On a brighter note, Declan gets out of school tomorrow for the summer so he is stoked on that. I only have three more days until I get out of Hilliard for a little while. We plan on spending time around this house this summer, watching the girl and having some family time together! It will be nice to stay at home all day with my girls! Other than that, Taylor is getting bigger, and Courtney and I are looking forward to our anniversary on the 8th!

Tye-Dye Taylor

This is a picture of Taylor that me and Court loved so we figured we had to put it on here. I was pumped because it was her first tye-dye outfit and she looked cute. She was chillin' on her boppy and let us take the pic. We loved it!

Update - Family Pic

It has taken me forever to update because of a hectic school year winding down, along with a new Business Stat class that is taking up more time than I want. Taylor is 2 weeks old now, and had her checkup at the pediatrician today. He said everything looked great, which is always good to hear. She now weighs 8 pounds and 9 ounces. You can see her little personality develop everyday. She is eating really well, and likes to hang out with Court all day long while I am at work. I am posting a picture of all 4 of us. It is our first family pic that was taken a few hours after Taylor's birth.

Day - 1

This is my first day on the blog. I have often said I would never start or participate on one of these, however, due to the birth of our daughter Taylor Anne, I want to share as much of her and our family as possibly. So, she already has me doing things I wouldn't normally do and she is only 4 days old. As soon as we get things going, Courtney or I will be posting pictures......
